After 85 years of proud service in Clarendon, Joyce Motors closed its doors on October 10, 2025, to make way for a redevelopment project. As Joyce prepares to pass the torch, Metro Motor is honored to step in – to continue the legacy of dependable auto service and to care for Joyce Motors’ longtime customers the way you’ve come to expect.

Joyce Motors has been more than an auto repair shop; it’s been a community fixture, a family business, and a trusted place for reliable repair and service. The plan for their site at 3211 10th Street N. in the Clarendon neighborhood of Arlington, is an ambitious one: a new mixed-use building with 231 apartments and ground-floor retail, designed to incorporate the historic façade of the old shop. It’s a meaningful nod to the past, even as the neighborhood looks ahead.

At Metro Motor, we believe in both community and continuity. While walls and floors may change, what endures is service, community trust, and relationships. Our goal is not to erase what Joyce built, but to carry it forward.
